On: November 17th, 2011 at 12:25 am | In: Uncategorized
  1. These worms have no mouth or intestines
  2. Oxedax were discovered in 2002
  3. There are over 20 different species of osedax
  4. They make the Mediterranean their home
  5. They can dissolve bone

I chose this article because i found it very interesting that these worms have been around for millions of years messing with data in these fossils. Another thing that i found interesting is that they have no mouth or intestines, dissolving bone by creating a “root” into the bone. Scientist are still discovering different species of this unique worm.      Thank You 😀

Carnivores

10-11-10

A carnivore is an animal thats diet consists of only meat. Animals that live on a diet consisting only of meat are referred to as obligate carnivores. Carnivores that mainly eat insects are called insectivores. There are several species of carnivious plants. Bears are an example of carnivores that are not true to the rules of carnivious creatures. The word carnivore also refers to mammals of the Order Carnivora.

I enjoyed this article because it was very informative. I liked how it explained that a bear is not a true carnivore. I also liked how much you can learn from this article.
