Zombie Worms! (Osedax)
- These worms have no mouth or intestines
- Oxedax were discovered in 2002
- There are over 20 different species of osedax
- They make the Mediterranean their home
- They can dissolve bone
I chose this article because i found it very interesting that these worms have been around for millions of years messing with data in these fossils. Another thing that i found interesting is that they have no mouth or intestines, dissolving bone by creating a “root” into the bone. Scientist are still discovering different species of this unique worm. Thank You 😀
